Wood Canyon Ranch is located approximately thirty four miles south of Ozona, the county seat of Crockett County. The ranch lies along the west side of FM 2083.

Hunting:
White-tailed deer , wild turkey, quail and dove are the predominant species of wildlife on the property. There have been no reports of wild hogs on the ranch, only native javelina. Hunting is limited to one mature whitetail buck, one management buck per hunter, two whitetail doe per hunter and two turkey toms. The first sounds of a new day in the spring time could be an old gobbler calling his flock together up the canyons.
Water:
Two water wells furnish ample water for livestock and wild game animals. The upper well with windmill and concrete storage tank is located in a timber covered canyon near the northwest boundary of the ranch.
